Anthropic Forecasts Massive Revenue Surge as SpaceX Reports Slower AI Growth

Anthropic anticipates $10.9 billion in quarterly revenue as it nears its first profit, while SpaceX's AI revenues show more modest growth.

Anthropic, the high-profile AI startup, is forecasting a massive 130% revenue surge to $10.9 billion for the June quarter. This growth trajectory is expected to push the company into its first-ever operating profit, a milestone that could silence skeptics who have questioned the long-term profitability of the generative AI sector. Anthropic's performance is being closely watched as a bellwether for the software side of the AI boom, contrasting with the hardware-heavy growth seen in companies like Nvidia.

In contrast, SpaceX’s latest financial disclosures show a more tempered growth path for its own AI-related revenues. In its IPO prospectus, Elon Musk's aerospace giant revealed that its AI revenue hit $1.3 billion in 2025, up from $892 million the previous year. While steady, the figure represents a small fraction of the revenue generated by dedicated AI firms like OpenAI or Anthropic. This disparity highlights that while AI is becoming a component of many industries, the most dramatic financial gains remain concentrated within companies focused solely on developing large language models.
