Overnight Shooting in Walnut Park East Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in the city's Walnut Park East neighborhood. The incident, which took place in the 4700 block of Wren Avenue shortly before 2:00 a.m. on June 29, left one man dead and another injured.

In a separate event, a man was left in critical condition following a shooting in the Downtown West neighborhood on June 28. Furthermore, on that same day, officers responded to a shooting at Carroll and South 7th Street, where they discovered a 20-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.
