These attacks aim to disrupt the Russian economy and logistics, mirroring the strategic impact of Western sanctions.

On the international stage, the European Union has announced a new round of sanctions targeting high-profile Russian figures, including World Chess Federation (FIDE) President Arkady Dvorkovich. The former Russian deputy prime minister now faces a travel ban and asset freeze as part of the EU's response to the invasion.
