Homicide Investigation Underway After Fatal Shooting at Midtown Walgreens

Police are investigating the homicide of 36-year-old Eric White, who was shot to death in the parking lot of a Midtown Walgreens. Authorities are currently searching for information regarding the suspect.
The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department is actively investigating a homicide that took place at a retail location in Midtown. Officers responded to a shooting call at a Walgreens store in the 3800 block of Broadway Boulevard around 2:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed that one individual had been killed in the shooting. The victim was identified on Saturday as 36-year-old Eric White.
Crime scene tape remained up around the east side of the store's parking lot for several hours following the incident, as investigators focused their attention on a tan passenger vehicle parked near the intersection of Broadway and West 39th Street.
Authorities are working to determine the motive behind the shooting and are currently seeking witnesses who may have been in the busy shopping area at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been announced as of this time.
