Police Investigate Fatal Northland Shooting; Person of Interest in Custody

A man was found shot to death at a residence in the 11000 block of North McGee Street on Sunday afternoon. Police have taken a person of interest into custody as the investigation continues.
Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in the Northland. Officers were called to the 11000 block of North McGee Street shortly after 1:15 p.m. to respond to reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency crews, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement officials have confirmed that a person of interest is now in custody in connection with the incident. Authorities blocked off portions of the surrounding area on Sunday as they conducted an initial investigation and processed the scene for evidence.
